5 DIY Face Masks

It's a brand new year and like most of us, I'm sure some of you who are reading this post can put your hands up and say " Yep, I have" when I say We've made decisions to make this year count. Some of you may decide to take your education more seriously, some of us may want to get into fitness and some of you may say I want to get my skin back on track!

I've vowed this year to take extra care of my skin because it's worth it. (Can i get sponsored to say that now?? L'Oreal?) I'll be posting a lot more and to kick of the year I thought I'd do a post on 5 DIY Face Masks.

The ingredients I'll be recommending are things we can all find in our kitchen. So there's no need to go out specifically to buy expensive ingredients. I'm not going to waste anymore of your time so lets get started!

1. ORGANIC BANANA MASK

Mash up 1 Banana in a bowl and mix a teaspoon of Orange Juice and a Tablespoon of Honey. Apply this onto your face and let it sit for around 20 minutes. The mixture doesnt have to be completely smooth! Rinse your face with warm water and you should be able to see a differenced straight away. Your skin will have a healthy, natural looking glow. You can use this face mask on all types of skin!

2. AVOCADO FACE MASK

Use 1/2 a Ripe Avocado and mash it up in a bowl. Mix in 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of yoghurt and then apply it all over your face. Leave it on for around 15 minutes and then rinse it out with warm water. This is particulary great if you have stressed out skin and you need to moisturize.

3. EGG WHITE FACE MASK

Mix up 1 Egg White, 1 teaspoon of Orange Juice and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric. Apply this to your face for 15 minutes and rinse out. This is a great mask if you have oily skin as the egg whites can help tighten up your pores. Turmeric is great as we all know for brightening up the skin.

4. BROWN SUGAR SCRUB MASK

Mix up 2 tablespoons of Brown Sugar with 2 tablespoons of Coconut Oil. Brown Sugar will help get rid of the dead skin on your face, whilst the Coconut oil moisturises. Try to apply this in circular motions and let it sit on your face for around 4-5 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water.

5. OATMEAL FACE MASK

Mix up 1/3 cup of Instant Oats with 1/2 cup hot water, 1 teaspoon Honey and 1 tablespoon of yoghurt. Blend this mix till its completely smooth. Leave it on your face for around 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Oatmeal is great for smoothing out rough skin and can help with Acne prone skin. With Yoghurt and Honey in, it's great for moisturising too.
